Ondo Police Command Parades Officer, 2 Fake Soldiers Over Robbery

The Ondo State Police Command paraded fake army officers who engaged in molesting people in the state.

The suspects’ were paraded at the Police Headquarters in Akure, the Ondo State Capital on Thursday by the Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami.

Salami who said that the suspects committed different offence ranging from Robbery/Conspiracy, kidnapping and defilement.

One of the suspects, Desmond Ikechukwu, male, a 24-year-old man who was caught as a fake soldier along Araromi, Akure in a complete uniform.

Upon interrogation, the man is not a serving member of the Nigeria Army.

It was revealed that he has been using the uniform to intimidate members of the public. He confessed he was never a soldier.

Also, a Fulani young man, Bello Ali was arrested for kidnapping.

Ali was said to have been unable to give a reasonable account of what he was doing at a forest along Owo-Uso in the night.

He, however, arrested and brought to the station where one of the kidnapped victims identified him to be one of those who kidnapped them.

The police boss, therefore, said that all the suspects will soon be arranged in court over their offenses.
