Oranmiyan House Attack: Osun Police, NSCDC Assure Residents Of Safety

Osun State Commissioner of Police, Wale Olokode said the command has directed its Tactical Teams to embark on rigorous and intensive investigation to fish out those who attack Rauf Aregbesola’s campaign office in Osogbo on Thursday.

The commissioner in a statement signed by the command’s spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, assured that the perpetrators of the act will be brought to book.

Olokode however called on political gladiators in the state to play the game according to the rules.

The commissioner who said he has visited the area for an on the spot assessment, stated that he has rejigged the command’s security action plans in tackling any form of crime in the state.

While promising a ’round the clock’ security coverage, he urged the people of the state to continue with their legitimate businesses as police personnel jointly with the local security outfits have been charged and drafted round the state to maintain absolute peace.

Olokode also implored members of the public to give timely and actionable information to the police as the saying that, “a stich in time saves nine”.

Similarly, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSDC), Osun command, condemned the attack by unknown miscreants on the Oranmiyan House.

State Commandant, Emmanuel Ocheja warned miscreants and hoodlums to consider relocating out of the state as this kind of untoward criminal act will not be tolerated henceforth, in the state.

Ocheja said, the Corps is working in synergy, with other security agencies to ensure a peaceful atmosphere emphasizing that no one that is caught acting against the law will be spared.
