Mr. Oronto Douglas, a famous environmental activist and close aide of the outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan, has died, reports said early Thursday. He was 49.
Mr. Douglas, who was at the forefront of the campaign to better the lives of the forlorn people of the South-South for many years, reportedly died in Aso Rock clinic early Thursday morning.
The Late Douglas has been amongst the most prominent political associates of President Jonathan until he reportedly took ill with cancer, a situation that left him completely out of the intrigues of the 2015 elections.
