By Temitope Adedeji, Akure.

Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, early on Sunday visited Akure, to condole with the leader of Afenifere, the Yoruba socio-political group, Chief Reuben Fasonranti, over the death of his daughter, Funke Olakunrin.

Mrs. Olakunri was shot dead by some bandits along Ore/Lagos Expressway on Friday.

The vice president said he had ordered the police to unravel the culprits behind the deadly attack.

According to him, “1’m not in a good mood to talk but rather to condole with Baba. But again let me tell you that, the culprits will be brought to book and we are doing everything humanly possible to protect the lives of Nigerians.

“The security challenge is happening across the country but an end will soon come to it.”

He also condoled with the husband of the deceased, Mr. Idowu Olakunrin.

Osinbajo arrived in company with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, at exactly 9:10 am with heavily-armed security men.
