The remains of late Senator Bayo Osinowo aka Pepperito were buried on Monday in his Ijebu-Ode residence, according to his wish.

Contrary to the impression that the Muslim burial would wait till the next day (Tuesday June 16), the late Pepperito was committed to mother earth on Monday evening the same day he died.

Family sources said Osinowo, a devout Muslim, had always told his children that his burial should not be delayed any time he died.

As if he had any premonition of his death, the late Senator forbade any form of ceremony or gathering after his passage.

“He had always drummed it into our ears that there should be no delay or any ceremony like party of any sort anytime he died,” said one of the family sources.

According to sources, the Senator had pleaded that his brethens should not think of any three day or eight day gathering, however enjoining them to pray for him always.

Senator Osinowo is survived by his wife, Alhaja Mariam, and three children which include a son, Dr. Tunde Osinowo, and his twin sisters.

The former Senator who represented Lagos East in the State died on Monday from complications arising from coronavirus. He was 64.

Before moving to the Senate, he spent four terms in the Lagos House of Assembly from 2003 to 2019 representing his Kosofe Constituency 1 of Lagos State.

In the House, he was more than a member. He was the leader, the rallying point for every member.
