An anti-corruption crusader group, Center for Anti-Corruption and Open Leadership (CACOL) has congratulated the gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Adeoti on his emergence as the governorship candidate of the party.
This was contained in a congratulatory message sent to the Moshood Adeoti Campaign Organization (MACO) and signed by the group’s Executive Chairman, Comrade Debo Adeniran.
According to CACOL, Alhaji Adeoti’s emergence as a flagbearer of the ADP did not come to any objective political observer in the state as a surprise, in view of his political antecedent.
“It is worthy of note that your stewardship as the Secretary the State Government (SSG) of Osun from January 2011 until recently, remains a reference point, as your wide experience in politics and the workings of government was brought to bear on civil servants and workers in other critical sectors of the state.
“This has enabled the government under which you served to elicit commitment and dedication from the workers for the progress of Osun State in general,” CACOL stressed.
The anti-corruption crusader group further eulogised the ADP flagbearer, saying that posterity would be fair to him in assessing his performance whilst in office.
“Though you stepped aside rather than participate in the primary election in the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with Governor Rauf Aregbesola as leader, there is no gain saying that posterity would be fair in assessing your performance whilst in office,” the group stated further.
“We therefore write this congratulatory letter to you in recognition of your remarkable contributions to the state and in clear appreciation of your administrative and business acumen, which has always put you in good stead whenever you have held fort.
“It is our belief that you cannot be underestimated in the forthcoming bid to determine who occupies Bola Ige House on September 22, 2018, especially with your remarkable presence in the grassroots politics of the state,” the group emphasised.
CACOL therefore wished the ADP and Alhaji Adeoti, the governorship candidate of the party, success, while expressing its optimism on Alhaji Adeoti’s aspiration.
“We are therefore wishing you the best, as we look forward to congratulating you after the governorship poll,” the group added.
