A two term Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Babajide Omoworare, on Wednesday, joined other 28 aspirants jostling for the governorship ticket under the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Osun State.
Omoworare who came to the party Secretariat in Osogbo with retinue of supporters and traditional singers who displayed Ile-Ife Culture boasted that he possessed everything required to govern the state and stand tall among the aspirants.
He promised to give priority to security, health and education if elected Governor of the state come September 22 this year.
According to Omoworare, all requirements in terms of education and exposure, have made him the best choice to get the party’s ticket.
He promised to make judicious use of the available resources in the state to govern with less dependence on the federal allocation.
The Senator said he would increase the Internal Revenue without inflicting hardships on the people of the state, if elected.
According to him, “Osun Osogbo festival, Olojo of Ife and Iwude-Ijesa of Ilesa, would be planned to attract investors in the tourism sector.”
