Oyetola To Adeoti, Lasun Yusuff: Let’s Join Hands Together To Build Osun

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo

Osun State Governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has called on the other two aspirants to join him as the state prepares for the July 16, governorship election.

Oyetola made the call on Sunday in his acceptance speech after his emergence as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor also called on all our aggrieved members of the party to have a rethink and join hands with him to further strengthen APC in the state as well as deliver outstanding results at the governorship poll.

He said: “For me, we are all winners. Let’s join hands to build the Osun of our dream. Let us close ranks and eschew bitterness in whatever form.”

Oyetola also appreciated all party members for their constant support, and for speaking eloquently at the Saturday primary election with their massive votes in favour of his administration’s restoration and consolidation agenda.

“The victory is for our people who trooped out in large number during our strategic tour of the state to inform them of our intention to seek a second term.

“It is a restatement of their confidence in our development agenda which hope delivered in 2018 and performance sealed in 2022. It is evidence of their belief in sustainable development which we brought into governance and preached every inch of the way.

“With this primary election now concluded, I invite us all to rededicate ourselves and the party to delivering an overwhelming victory at the gubernatorial polls holding on Saturday, 16th July, 2022,” he added.

The governor also commended the Chairman of the Osun Governorship Primary Election Committee, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq and all members of his team for conducting a hitch-free exercise.

“As we commence the electioneering campaigns, I urge all contestants across party lines to perform this exercise with utmost decency and not jeopardize the peace and tranquillity our state is noted for. This is the least our people deserve and the beauty democracy requires,” Oyetola said.
