Osun Declares Friday Public Holiday for Election

Osun State Government has declared tomorrow, Friday, March 27, 2015 as public holiday to allow residents of the state to travel to their various towns and communities to partake in Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly Elections.

According to a statement issued by the former Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Sunday Akere, the government therefore appealed to residents of the state to be peaceful and conduct themselves in a manner that portends them as responsible persons.

The statement exhorted all major stakeholders involved in the elections and all security agencies to allow the overall interest of the nation to guide their conduct.

It further appealed to them to ensure that things are done according to the laws of the land.

The government hopes the best candidate that will satisfy the yearning and aspirations of Nigerians emerge victorious on Saturday.
