The Election Petitions Tribunal hearing matters arising from the August 9,2014 governorship election in Osun State admitted in evidence more documents from the disputed 17 local government areas of the state tendered by the petitioner, Senator IyiolaOmisore.
Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Elizabeth Ikpejime, ruled on Thursday that all documents tendered by the petitioner be admitted in evidence and marked as exhibits.
Omisore’s counsel, Dr Alex Izinyon (SAN), at the resumed hearing of the petition, tendered Certified True Copies, CTC, of form EC40A series, which are ballot papers account and verification statement and form EC40B for all the 17 local government areas in contention.
Counsel to Aregbesola, Chief Akin Olujinmi ,SAN, raised objections to all the documents tendered by the petitioner and reserved his objections till the address stage.
Counsel to APC, Mr. KemiPinheiro ,SAN, as well as his Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) counterpart, Mr. AyotundeOgunleye, also objected to all the documents tendered saying they would integrate the reasons for their objections to the admissibility of the documents at their final addresses stage.
