Osun State government has ordered the immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a family of seven, on Tuesday, in Apomu, Isokan Local Government Area of the state.
While sympathising with the community, the government has also ordered that an autopsy be carried out on the corpses of the deceased, who were reportedly found dead in their abode.
In a statement by the Commissioner for Health, Rafiu Isamotu, on Wednesday, the government also reiterated its commitment to the security and welfare of its citizens and that it would go the whole hog to unravel the circumstances leading to the mysterious deaths.
It would be recalled that a policeman, his woman lover and her five children were found dead in their home in Ogbeso via Oke-Suna area, Apomu, Area of Osun State.
It was gathered that residents of the area woke up on Tuesday morning to find all seven persons dead while one survivor was rushed to the hospital.
The only survivor is currently receiving treatment.
According to a resident of the community, it was believed that a poisonous chemical was sprayed on them.
