Osun State Government has tasked the security agencies in the state to fish out the killer of Mr. Adebayo Mukaila Dele, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member serving in the state and bring them to justice.
Dele, who until his death, was a serving corps member posted to Olorunda North Local Council Development Area, was reportedly robbed and killed while returning home on Tuesday around 11:00pm.
The Government delegation, led by the Commissioner of Youth and Sports, Hon. Olayemi Lawal, on Thursday, visited the parents of the deceased to commiserate with them.
The government had earlier sent a similar delegation to commiserate with the management and staff of the NYSC over the demise.
The Commissioner also reassured the citizens of the government’s commitment to the security of their lives and properties, stating that no effort would be spared to ensure justice for the bereaved.
He admonished corps members serving in the state to always adhere to the NYSC security tips and shun things capable of endangering their lives.
“Mr. Governor sent us to condole with you on the loss of your son, Mukaila. We are all saddened by the incident, and we pray that God will give you the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“I assure you that we will not leave you alone but will support you in the best possible way.
“The death of your son is a great loss not only to your family but to the Scheme and the State at large. I want you to take heart and believe that soon the perpetrators will be brought to justice”, Lawal added.
