A traditional ruler in Osun State, Alase of Ilase-Ijesa in Obokun Local Government, Oba Jimoh Isiaka Adesina, Ajarabiolu 11 has called on sons and daughters of the community to abhor all negative behaviour that could jeopardize their peaceful coexistence.
Oba Adesina made the call at the weekend during the maiden edition of Ilase day and launching of N100m ultra modern palace held at St. Paul’s School, Ilase-Ijesa.
He urged all sons and daughters of Ilase Ijesa both home and diaspora to embrace peace and always come together to develop their native home.
The monarch added that “the more we are, the greater the share of honour”.
Also speaking, one of the illustrious sons of Ilase-Ijesa who has been instrumental to the creation of jobs to over a thousand indigenes of the community, Prince Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi charged parents against preventing their wards to return home and develop it.
Fadahunsi who is vying for Osun East Senatorial District seat charged parents especially mothers to allow their children to always visit their native town and invest there.
He therefore urged the sons and daughters of the town who have excelled in their varying professions to assist other indigenes of the land to grow.
Meanwhile, the president of Ilase-Ijesa National Union, Sir M. Aluko has called on the Federal and State Governments to support the community in realising their goal of building ultra modern Oba’s palace and infrastructural development projects.
The people of the town were filled with joy at the ceremony. Most of the invited launchers donated funds for the building of the projects among cultural presentations by the youths of the community.
