Secretary to Osun State Government, Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Adeoti has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adeoti was said to have dumped the party on Saturday following his dissatisfaction with the happening in the ruling party in the state.
In his letter of resignation dated July 21,2018 addressed to the Ward Chairman of APC, Gidigbo 2, Ward 12, Iwo local government council Adeoti said that he is no longer a member of the party.
Adeoti was the state pioneer Chairman of the Action Congress (AC) and Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) the two platforms on which Governor Aregbesola contested to win the governorship election in the State.
WESTERNPOST gathered that Adeoti has also resigned his appointment as Secretary to the government of Osun State.
On Monday morning, Adeoti made a public declaration for the Action Democratic Party (ADP) and became it governorship candidate.
Hundreds of his supporters thronged the Secretariat of the party at Biker area along Osogbo/Ikinrun road rendered his slogan, “Shehu” as he declared for the party.
Adeoti on Friday withdrew his participation from the primary election of APC as a governorship aspirant over what he described as inconsistent policy as the party adopted direct primary election in place of the delegate system being used in choosing its governorship candidate.
He alleged that the primary election was skewed to favour an aspirant.
