The Osun State Election Petitions Tribunal has fixed judgement for Friday, February 6 in the petition filed by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the August 9 election, Senator Iyiola Omisore, against the election of Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Aregbesola the winner of the election.
But dissatisfied with the outcome, Omisore and PDP had proceeded to the tribunal to challenge the result.
The tribunal verdict is coming against the backdrop of intense intrigue and politics.
After the tribunal adjourned indefinitely to prepare its judgement, the camp of Omisore had gone to town celebrating, claiming it had won at the tribunal.
