A notable politician and Kwara South Senatorial aspirant, Otunba Olabode Oyedepo has implored the newly sworn-in member of the Kwara State House of Assembly (KWHA), Hon Jimoh Agboola to use his previous experience as a lawmaker to impact positively on the people of Ilorin South Constituency.

Otunba Oyedepo who is widely known as Deway made this known in his congratulatory message to Agboola, a member of the 9th Assembly in the state.

The message was made available to newsmen through Otunba Oyedepo’s media team on Wednesday in Ilorin.

He said, “The statement reads in part, the event of Tuesday, 9th of February 2021, whereby Hon Jimoh Agboola was sworn-in as the only member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Kwara Assembly, 14 months after judgments is not alien to democracy.

“I salute Hon. Agboola for his patience and endurance. I particularly appreciate him for eschewing violence and securing his mandate through the court of competent jurisdiction.

“Similarly, the leadership of the Kwara Assembly deserves commendation especially the Speaker, Hon Yakubu Salihu Danladi, for allowing the rule of law to prevail at the end of the day.

“Now that Agboola has taken his seat at the Hallow Chamber, we expect our lawmakers to ignore party differences and focus on bills and acts that will impact positively on the people of Kwara State.”
