The recently conducted House of Representatives primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State has been described as the manifestation of enriched internal democracy and an eye-opener that the era of imposition has gone for good in the party.
Barr. Moses Wale Osinubi, also known as Otunba Wesco, disclosed this shortly after he was declared winner for Ijebu Central Federal Constituency in Ijebu-Ode.
He noted that people are wiser by using their votes to chose who should represent them at all levels of governance.
“The outcome of today’s primary elections has shown that our people are now wiser in choosing only those who they believe would give them quality representation.
“It has also shown that power belongs to the people and internal democracy is working in our party, the PDP,” Otunba Wesco said.
The Chairman of Wesco Lottery, Wesco, garnered 50 votes to top.
Others who contested the poll are Femi Odusanya, who polled 43 votes, Otunba Semi Ola Kukoyi, who scored 29 votes and Hon. Remmy Hazzan who got no vote.
