More than 700 Nigerian businesses have been slated for exhibition at the International General Trade Exhibition (INGETREX), scheduled to hold between April 29 and May 1 in Lagos.
Mr Biodun Afolabi, spokesperson for Atlantic Exhibitions Ltd, organisers of the exhibition said in Lagos.
Afolabi said that the exhibition would feature agricultural products and packaging, cosmetics, fashion and cleaning products, home decoration and interior design products.
He said that the exhibition would assist emerging and established businesses, especially manufacturers, in boosting profits and leveraging their customer base.
“We know that advertising your business can be a bit difficult in Nigeria, so this exhibition will serve as a platform for business owners, especially manufacturers of made-in-Nigeria products, to get more customers and attract investors.
“It is also an opportunity for potential distributors of products to come around to meet manufacturers.
“We have over 700 confirmed exhibitors which include manufacturers, farmers, traders and service providers of all kinds.
“This year’s exhibition would also pull foreign investors from our major trading partner countries like China, South Africa, Turkey and Ghana,” he said.
Afolabi also urged the government to create an enabling environment for the nation’s emerging small and medium enterprises that would expand the employment window.
The exhibition will hold at the Ten Degrees Event Centre, Ikeja, reports the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
