Rector and management of Owu College of Management Technology, Wasinmi (OWUTECH) on Monday presented certificates to 245 graduands of 2018/2019 set.
They charged the graduands to be good ambassadors of the institution in their daily endeavour.
The Rector, OWUTECH, Dr. Samuel Adekunle gave the charge during the valedictory/collection of results of the graduating set of 2018/2019 at the school auditorium.
He congratulates the graduating students who are found worthy and qualified for the program. He regretted that out of 400 students, only 245 students are qualified for the collection of result.
While commending the parents for their unrelenting effort financially towards the completion of their wards National Diploma program, he made an appeal to them not to allow their wards education to stop at this phase.
Also, Registrar of the college, Mr. Dapo Kolawole commends parents for the support given to the college in the past. He highlighted some of the achievements of the institution within the past two years of existence in Ewekoro local government.
He said “the institution has no cause to record any calamity over the students or staff members. ICT department has over 100 computers, there is a functioning Library, Laboratory and creation of micro finance bank within the school premises which doubles as the first bank in Wasinmi.”
While charging the first graduating students who are the living testimony of the college to continue preaching the gospel all over, he reminded them that they are the ambassadors Owu College of Management wherever they find themselves.
In the same vain, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr Babatunde Emmanuel Osuntogun Oniwasinmi of Wasinmi, charged the students to continue to be who they are, as no landlord or anyone from the community has ever come to complain about OWUTECH students in his palace.
He gives them royal blessing to prosper in their various professions as they go out.
A graduand at Mass Communication department, Okebe Godwin commends the school authority for the opportunity given to them to have their National Diploma result after many years of disappointment from Joint Admission Matriculation Board JAMB and some private institutions failed to offer them administration.
He said they would continue to be very grateful to God and management of OWUTECH and they would continue to pray for the institution.
In attendance were the Rector, Deputy Rector, Registrar, Deans of school, head of various department, lecturers, Pastor Jeje, community leaders, members of CDA and parents of the graduating students, among other.
