Oyegun Says Nigeria Will Witness Change in Two Years

From Sulaiman Salawudeen, Ado-Ekiti

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has assured Nigerians the much-desired change would come to Nigerian in respect of expectations of the people in a maximum of two years.

Speaking on a live broadcast programme on Channels Television, the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, urged Nigerians to exercise patience and await the much-expected change, saying “In two years Nigerians will witness a new country, a new economy. In four years, people must be thanking God for voting APC”.

According to him, the problems currently facing the country were multifaceted, noting that the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration would deploy critical planning and focused determination in solving the problems.

He dismissed fears that the opposition members in the National Assembly might pose challenges to the party’s attainment of its plans for the country, saying  no member either of the Senate or House of Representatives would work against the collective interest of the people.

His words: “APC still has more members in the national assembly. The party cannot have any problem. No one will put himself or herself against the wishes and progress of Nigerians”

Odigie-Oyegun assured Nigerians that the current leadership would deploy latest technological innovations to resolve nagging problem of power supply and insecurity, assuring that the APC was a focused party.

On the tussle for the national assembly leadership, the APC chair maintained the party had resolved all the issues and had moved on, adding that “the focus of the party now is to give everyone a sense of belonging.

He further warned against issues concerning the 2019 general elections in the country, saying “It is too early to start thinking of 2019. It is a non-issue”.
