Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State has commissioned toilet facilities for the use of cattle dealers at Kara market, Iwo.
Speaking at the commissioning and handing over of the structure, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Mr. Adedayo Adewole stated that the government constructed the toilets following the request made by the cattle dealers in the market.
The Commissioner, who was represented by the Director of Veterinary Services, Dr. Abosede Olatokun described the Oyetola-led administration as a responsive government who attended to the demands of the citizens promptly.
She also said that Oyetola takes the issues of health with all seriousness, and would not want an outbreak of pandemic in the State.
She urged the Cattle butchers/sellers to take good care of the facilities through regular and proper maintenance.
Speaking earlier, the President of Butchers Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Gabaru Tiamiyu, appreciated the governor for his kind gesture and prayed that God grant him his heart desires.
Similarly, the chairman, Butchers Association, Osun State, Alhaji Adebimpe Suleiman appreciated the governor for his effort at making the market a befitting one.
Suleiman then appealed to the government to drill borehole for them as well as fence the market so as to secure their cattle.
