All roads led to the Township Stadium Osogbo on Tuesday as former Chief of Staff of Osun State was inaugurated as new governor, taking over from Governor Rauf Aregbesola who spent eight years in office.
He took the mantle of power at an impressive ceremony presided by the Chief Judge of the state. It was after his deputy, Benedict Adegboyega Alabi, had taken his own oath of office.
Speaking after he was inaugurated and after he inspected the calistenic display by school children, OYES members and corp members serving in the state, Oyetola commended the immediate-past governor of the state, Aregbesola for laying the foundation for the full development of the state and asserted that he would take the state further higher.
All Progressives Congress National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, said the country had signed on to the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration and that there is no going back.
In attendance at the swearing-in were APC Chairman Adams Oshiomhole, Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha who represented President Buhari and Governors Umar Ganduje (Kano), Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (Ondo) and Akinwunmi Ambode (Lagos) among others.
