Osun State Governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola on Monday, opened the newly-completed Olaiya flyover by taking the first ride on the overpass barely a year after the construction was flagged off.
The governor, accompanied by the Commissioner for Works, Mr. Remi Omowaiye as well as cabinet members, House of Assembly members and party leaders appreciated the citizens for their endurance during construction, noting that the flyover will allow free flow of traffic in the state capital.
He enjoined motorists to follow traffic signs and drive carefully.
He also promised the citizens that his administration would embark on more infrastructure.
It would be recalled that the state government embarked on the flyover project last year with a budget of N2.7billion.
