The Oragun of Ila, Oba Wahab Oyedotun has said that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s productive governance is improving Osun State security status.
Besides, the monarch urged the Governor to consider the upgrade of College of Education, Ila to university status.
Oba Oyedotun stated this during an edition of Governor’s Family Meeting organized by the Office of the Special Adviser on Civic Engagement held at Ila Town Hall, Ila Oragun.
The traditional ruler described Oyetola as a refined, savvy and ingenious administrator whose approach to governance is nipping all issues at the bud thereby, engendering security and general welfare in the state.
The first-class monarch said apart from series of security frameworks designed by Oyetola’s administration which are institutional, his systematic steps of addressing range of issues are second to none.
“Oyetola used his shrewdness and adroitness to intervene in the education system which has been widely adjudged to be propelling insecurity through the review of state education policy.
“He cleverly managed the deadly Covid-19 resurgence in the state which made Osun to be one of the least affected states in the federation,” he stated.
The traditional ruler further commended the governor for his financial expertise and managerial proficiency which had been deployed in the affairs of state, saying making much out of little is hallmark of his administration.
He, however, beseeched the current administration to upgrade Ila College of Education to university status, emphasising that was the chief demand of the community.
While restating the support of the people for the progressive administration of Oyetola, he pleaded with the government to consider some other pressing needs of the people such as rehabilitation of community road network, electrification, among other people’s yearnings and aspirations.
While speaking, the Commissioner for Tourism, Dr. Adebisi Babawale enumerated the giant strides of Oyetola’s administration which are targeted towards ensuring better life for all, asserting that the present administration would continue to do more with the support of the people.
In his remarks, the Special Adviser on Civic Engagement, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye who represented the governor at the event said Oyetola’s administration would not relent in it’s efforts to reach out depth of grassroots, noting that participatory and inclusive governance has come to stay in the stay.
Oyintiloye said while the present administration is poised to engendering best democratic standard in the state, the voice of the people would continue to be golden in the general governance.
He, however, entreated the people to continue giving their support to the current administration, assuring them that all their yearnings would be given necessary consideration.
