The Oyo State chapter of Association of Medical Laboratory and Scientist of Nigeria (AMLSN) has inaugurated new excutive members that will oversee affairs and activities of the body in the next three years.
The colourful ceremony took place at Nis Plaza, Nigerian Institution of Surveyors Secretariat, Ikolaba in ibadan.
The new executive members are Mr Akinbola Idowu Olubukola (Chairman), Mrs Fakunle Oluwafunmibi Omolara (Vice Chairman), Mr Lateef Olawunmi Akeem (Secretary), Mr Adepoju Samuel Dare (Assistant Secretary), Mr Olaoti Adebayo Job ( Treasurer).
Others are Mrs Idowu Temitope (Financial Secretary), Mr Basiru Saheed Akintunde (publicity secretary), Mr Oguniyi Abiodun Olakunle (Auditor) and Mrs Akinbile Adebola Shakirat (Social/Welfare Secretary).
Speaking at the well attended programme, the outgoing chairman Comrade Kehinde Akeem Adegoke expressed his profound gratitude to members of the association for the opportunity given him to serve the body.
He also thanked members of his executive council for their unalloyed support and cooperation throughout the three year tenure of purposeful service during his tenure.
In his congratulatory message to the new executive members, comrage Adegoke charged them to be up and doing in their effort to take the assiciation to greater height.
According to him, the association has impacted positively to the health sector of the country, and would continue to be committed to the growth and development of the people and the country as a whole.
He commended the chairman of the Oyo state chapter of professional Bodies, Prince Adebayo Ganiyu for the great roles he played in advancing the course of the association.
“Handing over is a great and very interesting experience, it is a moment of self assessment in ones endeavour, I thank God for the grace and opportunity given to me to serve the body. I also thank my executive members and everybody for their cooperation.
“I want to charge the new executive members to start from where we stopped so that they also will move the association forward.”
In his acceptance speech, the new chairman, Mr Olubukola promised to work hand in glove with members of his executive council to take the body to another level of greatness.
He equally enjoined members of his exco to work hard in one spirit and mind to achieve the objectives of their administration.
Highlight of the ocassion was the presentation of award to some deserving personalities.
Certificates of meritorious service and award was also presented to members of the outgoing administration led by comrade Adegoke.
The awardees include Odusanya Olubukola Anne, Mrs Adebiyi Ini (Treasurer), Mr Akinbola Idowu (General secretary), and the current chairman and many others.
