A newly-elected Oyo State House of Assembly candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Lagelu State Constituency, Mr. Ogundokun Olamide, has restated his avowed commitment to provide better dividends of democracy for the people of his constituency if he is elected in the 2015 general elections.
He made this known in an interview with WESTERN POST while speaking on his plans if elected to represent Lagelu State Constituency.
He said: “First on the list in my plans is the youth development and empowerment. It is very paramount in my agenda. I want to develop the youths. Egbeda has a lot of youth. Some people have named Egbeda as a local government of hooliganism and thuggery and I want to change that name during my tenure.
“Second on my agenda is to empower the aged and women in my constituency. I believe by the special grace of God if I emerge eventually, I will contribute effectively to the development of my constituency.”
Olamide also promised to synergize with concerned stakeholders in bringing rapid development to Egbeda State Constituency if elected in the 2015 election.
He also appreciated the support of party faithful in the local government, promising to further sustain the legacies of the progressives in the discharge of his lawmaking functions.
