Oyo State House of Assembly has directed commissioner nominees on the letter received from the executive arm of government to submit their curriculum vitae for examinations towards proper screening which will come up later.
The list of commissioner nominees contained name of the 32 year old, Barrister Seun Asamu and 13 others for screening.
Names of the nominees were read and presented by the Speaker Hon Adebo Ogundoyin at the Thursday plenary in Ibadan.
Addressing newsmen after the plenary on the list which also include the names of, Hon. Barr. Adeniyi John Farinto, Mr. Adeniyi Adebisi, Hon. Muyiwa Jacob Ojekunle, Prof. Oyelowo Oyewo, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye, Mr. Rahman Abiodun AbdulRaheem, Chief Bayo Lawal, Hon. Funmilayo Orisadeyi, Dr. Bashir Bello, Hon. Wasiu Olatunbosun, Prof. Daud kehinde Sangodoyin, Mr. Akinola Ojo, and Rt. Hon Kehinde Ayoola, Ogundoyin noted that the personalities nominated by Governor Seyi Makinde are technocrats with wealth of knowledge from their various field to improve affairs of the state.
“If you examining the nominees and the personalities critically, you will see that they are more of technocrats than politicians.
“Our goal is to liberate and develop Oyo State for the poor, common indigenes and residents to enjoy the dividends of good governance, not to play politics and enrich few persons.
“The nominees are still coming for screening soon and we assure the good people of Oyo State that due diligence will be be done to ensure round pegs and in round holes,” he added.
