The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, CP Ngozi Onadeko psc, mni, fdc has reassured residents in the states of maximum security of lives and properties.
The assurance followed development and statements emanating from different individuals, regarding the security situation in the State.
The Oyo State Police Command said it like to associate itself with the position of the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on the need for the good people of Oyo State to be calm and peaceful, as well as desist from taking laws into their hands.
The police commissioner in a press release by Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), CSP Olugbenga Fadeyi assured the peace-loving people of the State that necessary strategies have been put in place, in collaboration with other security agencies in the state to ensure all residents of the state are able to go about their lawful businesses and duties, without threat or hindrance.
According to her, the Police command with the support of sister security agencies in the state emphatically stated that anyone who engaged in any form of disturbance of the peace in any act of criminality will be brought to justice.
The Commissioner of Police used the opportunity to advise parents and guardians to warn their children and wards as the case may be to avoid been used by criminal elements for any act of lawlessness.
Also, the CP while addressing newsmen on security challenges in the state after her official visit to the state governor on Friday, said the development is under control adding that the command is working to achieve police with a human face.
Also on the protest at Igangan, in Ibarapa area of the state, CP Onadeko said men of the command are on ground, adding that the place is calm.
She urged the people to go about their lawful businesses without fear or hindrance.
