The Deputy Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Mohammed Fadeyi has reiterated the commitment of his administration to continue to give quality representation to people of Ona Ara State constituency through prompt delivery of dividends of democracy.
The Deputy Speaker gave the submission during the foundation laying ceremony of a block of two classrooms at Christ Church Primary School, Bioku Etile, Iyana Agbala, in Ona Ara Local Government area of the state.
Hon. Fadeyi said the project was in line with his electioneering campaign promises for the school and people of the area, adding that plans are on to carry out other projects that will have direct impact in the lives of the people of the constituency.
The legislator who assured that he will touch every ward in the constituency with meaningful dividends democracy to ensure all-round development in the area urged them to cooperate and support him to achieve the feat.
“What I am doing here is in line with the fulfilment of my electioneering campaign promise, it is also the fulfilment of what I call social contract because during my campaign, I promised to reach out to my people.”
Hon Fadeyi while thanking leaders and members of the constituency for their continued support, cooperation and understanding urged them to be patient with him in course of achieving more feats.
Speaking, chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the council area, Chief Mosobalaje Bakare thanked the Deputy Speaker for the gestures, describing him as a dependable representative.
He recalled that the road in the area was first tarred by the PDP administration some years back, but was abandoned by the administration of All Progressive Congress.
He urged the people of the area to register their children in the school so that they can enjoy dividends of democracy.
Also speaking, PDP leader in Ona Ara, Alhaji Waheed Adurodekun expressed delight on the project, adding that it as a good performance.
According to him, the school and the road in the area had long been abandoned over some time now, until the emergence and intervention of Hon Fadeyi, just as he urged him to work on the road linking to Ajia.
He appealed to the people to continue to cooperate and support him.
In his comments, chairman of Inu Kan Local Development Council Area (LCDA), Hon Kunle Balogun commended Hon. Fadeyi for deeming it fit to fulfil his promise, describing the gesture as very laudable.
He urged the people to always pray for the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde and Hon Fadeyi to achieve more success in office.
