Corps Marshal of the Federal Roads Safety Commission (FRSC), Dr Boboye Oyeyemi has commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi for prompt release of fund and land for the building of ultra-modern office complex for the the state command of the FRSC in Ibadan.
The FRSC boss gave the commendation at the official commissioning of the 30 rooms office complex located at Eleyele area of Ibadan, describing their gesture as a development that will not be forgotten in a hurry.
According to him, the ultra- modern office complex projects was one of his cardinal points when he was assuming office as Corps Marshal in 2014, adding that under his administration, the FRSC has recorded eight of this ultra-modern office complex in some parts of the country, saying three would be commissioned in December 2018.
Dr Boboye while thanking the state deputy governor Otunba Moses Alake Adeyemo for his prompt support appealed to road users and people of the state to cooperate with the FRSC in order to record zero tolerance accident across the state
He therefore urged the state government to assist the FRSC to provide other necessary support like office furniture among other facilities to enhance the performance of staff of the command in office.
In his address at the programme, the state governor Senator Abiola Ajimobi who was represented by his deputy Otunba Alake Adeyemo described the development as a great achievement for the state command of the FRSC.
“I am particularly delighted to be at this gathering for the official inaugurationn of the Ultra- Modern office complex of the FRSC here in Ibadan because this is happening during the lifetime of our administration. Today is no doubt another milestone in our administration quest to further boost the security and welfare of people of the state”.
According to him, the state government would continue to do its best to support the command and indeed all other security agencies in the state for capacity enhancement.
While commending the corps Marshal and Executive officer of the FRSC, Dr Boboye for the stride and his untiring efforts at repositioning the Corps for better service delivery said he is particularly happy to note that his effort is further complemented by the state sector Commander, Mrs Cecilia Alao and the team in the state.
“I am confident this building, with all its conveniences will serve as a morale booster to the officers and men of the command.
Speaking with Journalists on the development, the Oyo State Sector Commander, Mrs Cecilia Kikelomo Alao thanked God for the edifice, adding that it will improve the services of members of the command.
“We thank the federal and state governments for deeming it fit to give us the edifice. This will be a motivational factor to the staff of the command”.
Mrs Alao then charged members and staff of the command to double their efforts in order to move the FRSC forward.
