The Chairman House Committee on Commerce and Cooperatives in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Olajide Akintunde popularly known as (AKT), has admonished Governor Seyi Makinde to be steadfast and remain committed to the good work he has started so as to be able to deliver his promises to the people of the state.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Lawmaker who represents Lagelu constituency in the state Assembly said the governor needed to complement his gestures and promises he made to the people by being steadfast and focused.
According to him, the expectations of the people are so high and one of the ways he can deliver to them is by being steadfast an hard-working.
Hon. Akintunde, who commended the governor for the robust synergy between the Executive and the legislature, said the breakfast meeting always afford them the opportunity to discuss issues concerning interest of the people and the state.
Speaking on his programme for members of his constituency to commemorate his 100 days in office, the legislator said he has provided street lights in ward 3 of Agbon Market and carried out electrification project in Offa-Igbo in Lagelu area.
“I also embarked on the provision of borehole in Ward 1 Akobo and empowered over 26 women with fund to start petty business. I have done security summit for male youths and empowered them to be proactive.
“I have plans to extend same gestures to other members of my constituency who are yet to benefit from the scheme. I want to assure them them that the scheme will reach them in the course of my administration.”
While thanking members of his constituency for their understanding, Hon. Akintunde assured them of prompt delivery of dividends of democracy.
