Oyo Lawmaker Empowers 13 Constituents On Skills Acquisition

A lawmaker, representing Ibadan South-East constituency 1 in the Oyo State House of Assembly Hon. Abdul-Rasak Ademola Abdullahi has given empowerment items worth millions of naira to some members of his constituency whom he sponsored on skills acquisition programme.

The mega empowerment took place at Westley College School, Elekuro, Ibadan.

Some of the items distributed at the empowerment programme included 41 sewing machines, 12 laptops, 20 standing fans, 10 make-up kits, six refrigerators, two hair dryers, deep freezers, nylon cutters, two shoe making cutting machines, generator sets among other items.

Abdullahi said the gesture was a way of appreciating his constituents for finding him worthy to represent them.

He, therefore, urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and people of his constituency to stay committed and remain faithful to the party and Governor Seyi Makinde.

He added that the empowerment scheme will be a continuous one, urging those who have not benefited to be patient as plans are on to extend same gestures to them.

Chairman, PDP Ibadan South East Local Government, Mr. Sulaimon Adesina praised the positive impact and record performance of the lawmaker.

He also called on all the beneficiaries to take advantage of all the requisite knowledge they acquired during the course of their training to justify the main aim of their training.
