A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Seyi Adisa, on Thursday, said he would train 500 youths in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills so as to make them self reliant.
Adisa made this disclosure in a statement issued by his Media Assistant, Sayo Aluko.
The lawmaker who represents Afijio State Constituency said that it was the responsibility of elected leaders to empower their people to help alleviate poverty and make them useful to their household economically.
Speaking on the training which will last for 6 months, Adisa expressed the reason why he chose to train the youths in digital skills.
He said that the Ejekaseyi Digital Entrepreneurial and Employability Program (DEEP) which was powered by Seyi Adisa Development Initiative (SADI) aims to deploy targeted digital training to empower his constituents, especially youths.
According to the statement, the training will commence on July 2021.
