The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ibadan West Local Council Development Area (IBWLCDA), Aleshinloye, Prince Yomi Adefusi has described his nomination as the chairmanship aspirant of the council area as an act of God, saying that the development was as a result of his numerous achievements in office as the caretaker chairman.
Adefusi, in a release from his media office at the weekend, described the nomination as a call to service, expressing gratitude to Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State and all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the council area for finding him worthy to lead the council as an elected chairman in the forthcoming local government elections in the state.
He said: “I never believed I could be nominated as the chairmanship aspirant. But all glory to God because I felt I have done enough to deserve this.
“However, I believe I should not reject the call to service, as this is an avenue for me to further work for the betterment of people in my council area and to leverage on my achievements as a caretaker chairman in line with the laid down rules of Senator Abiola Ajimobi on effective and responsive governance. It is also an avenue for me if finally elected, to improve my service to humanity and for further progress of this council area,” Prince Adefusi vowed.
He, however, called for the prayers of all and sundry in IBWLCDA in order to meet and surpass the standard he has laid down in the council area.
“As I wholeheartedly accept this nomination as the chairmanship aspirant of this council area on the platform of APC, I solicit your support and prayers towards my final emergence as an elected chairman and for me to record an enviable success in the task ahead,” he pleaded.
