Oyo Minority Leader, Alarape Condoles Alao- Akala’s  amily, Says Oyo APC Will Miss Ex-Gov

The minority leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Asimihu Alarape, has described the death of former governor of the state, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala as unexpected and shocking.

Alarape, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a telephone chat with our correspondent, said that the death of Alao-Akala would be a great loss to the APC family and be greatly missed.

He described him as a man who has always been concerned about the welfare of the people around him.

The minority leader of stated further that the APC will need to go the extra miles to make sure the party is intact and move on towards the  2023 general elections.

Alarape in his condolence message wished the entire family of the late Alao Akala the fortitude to bear the loss.

The death of the late Otunba Alao-Akala came on the wake of the death of some prominent monarchs in the state.

His demise also came exactly 16 years after being sworn in as the governor, following the impeachment of his boss, Governor RashidI Ladoja whom he was deputy to.

Ironically, it also marked exactly one month that the late Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewunmi  Ajagungbade 111 joined his ancestors on December, 12, 2021.
