The Minority Leader, Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Asimiyu Niran Alarape has attributed the peace and progress prevailing among members of the 9th Assembly to maximum cooperation and sound working relationship among the legislator since inauguration.
Hon. Alarape, Speaker of 4th Assembly and member of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 9th Assembly gave kudos to the lawmakers for working harmoniously irrespective of party differences adding that its only in a situation like this that the House can witness development.
“The 9th Assembly is comprised of 26 members of the PDP, five APC and one ADP, yet we have been working harmoniously to improve the state.”
The lawmaker who represents Atiba state constituency in the Assembly said as Elder statesman in the House, he is particularly happy at the conduct, understanding and robust working exhibited by the dynamic young members of the Assembly.
“As Elder Statesman, my role in the House is to ensure that things work well and I am happy about the cooperation and robust understanding exhibited by Honourable members of the 9th Assembly, this will create a conducive atmosphere for great development in the state.
“My role as Elder statesman is to guide and advise then on parliamentary business and act that will promote the development and progress of the members and the Assembly in general.”
Hon. Alarape while calling for more cooperation and love among members said this will enhance great development in the state, just as he urged the legislators to continue to work harmoniously for the progress of the state.
He commended the speaker, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin for his dynamism and quality leadership in the Assembly.
