Oyo NSCDC Deploys 2,000 for Ondo Election

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State Command has deployed 2000 personnel comprising intelligence Arm Squad, Special Force Rangers and SWAT team to Ondo State ahead of the gubernatorial election.

This was disclosed on Wednesday by the State Commandant CC Iskilu Akinsanya at the Corps Command Headquarters Agodi, Ibadan. He said that the personnel are been deployed to reinforce others on the ground in Ondo for the Conduct of a free, fair and credible election in the State.

While speaking, the Commandant Charged the Deployed arm squad personnel to abide by the election guidelines by maintaining orderliness at the polling unit, collation Centre and be a  good ambassador of the Corps.

The commandant gave the assurance that all hands must be on deck for a Joint operation with all other Security Agencies to curb any act of violence, assault, ballot snatching before, and after the Election.

The commandant implores the electorate in Ondo State to come out to exercise their civic right and conduct themselves in an orderly manner during and after the Election with the observation of government protocol on COVID-19.
