There are strong indications that the Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal House of Representatives candidate under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the last general elections, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, may be considered for a place in Governor Seyi Makinde’s cabinet.
The ADC candidate, Olatunbosun, who lost his election and two others were said to have been nominated by the ad -hoc committee secretly inaugurated by Governor Seyi Makinde.
According to a source, when Olatunbosun’s name was mentioned, Governor Makinde said, ‘it’s not a bad idea’ and his name was included in the list immediately”.
However, the source disclosed that “Olatunbosun is more interested in the Ibadan North West Local Government’s affair.
It would be recalled that Olatunbosun was the council chief of Ibadan Northwest Local Government in the then Abiola Ajimobi-led government.
The former spokesperson and scribe of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) later joined the collation coordinated by former Governor Rasidi Ladoja which eventually adopted Makinde, the PDP guber nominee as their consensus candidate.
