The Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has expressed grief over the death of the State’s Commissioner of Environment and Natural Resources, Rt. Hon. Kehinde Ayoola.
Ogundoyin in a Statement described the late Ayoola as a hardworking man with selfless spirit and mind, who always offers his time, expertise, and resources when needed by anyone around him.
Ayoola died on Thursday morning after a brief illness. He was Speaker of the state House of Assembly in 1999 under Lam Adesina’s governorship and became the Commissioner for Environment following Governor Seyi Makinde’s inauguration in 2019.
He also served as the Director-General for Seyi Makinde 2015 gubernatorial campaign and the Deputy Director-General for the 2019 campaign.
According to Ogundoyin, the death of Ayoola came as a rude shock and he will be greatly missed as a committed and strategic member of Governor Seyi Makinde’s Oyo developmental team.
He said, “My brother Barrister Ayoola was a great asset to us as a former lawmaker and speaker at the Oyo State House of Assembly and also as a serving member of Governor Makinde’s cabinet.
“He served the State well and love his people with all you had when he was alive. It saddens death took him away when the State needed him more.
“May his soul rest in peace and God grant his family, political associates, and the entire State fortitude to bear this lost.”
