As a means of generating more revenue to the Oyo State Government coffers, the Oyo State Sinage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA) has unveiled mobile advert stickers for private individual branded vehicles as well as those belonging to comapanies and other coporate organisations at the rate of N3,000 for cars, buses, motocycles, tricycles and N5,000 for lories, trailers and other articulated vehicles.
This developement was disclosed on Wednesday by the agency’s Director-General, Pastor Yinka Adepoju, during a press briefing held at the state’s Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism.
According to him, the launching would prevent people, no matter how highly placed in the society from importing thier fake stickers different from the stickers produced by the agency, adding that any private or corporate organisation caught with stickers from other states selling them in Oyo State would be dealt with accordingly.
“Similarly, we are aware of some private individuals who are in the habit of producing fake Oyo State Mobile Advert Stickers and selling them to end users at ridiculous prices. Such individuals or corporate organisations should desist henceforth from such act as anyone caught indulging in such act will not be spared but immediately handed over to the law enforcement agents for presecution,” the DG hinted.
While highlighting the challenges being confronted by the agency, Pastor Adepoju, however, expressed appreciation to the state governor for his unflinching support to the agency since its inception five years ago, also lauding the mobile advert consultant for their patience and valued patronage.
He urged all vehicle owners and religious bodies in the state to purchase the stickers from the agency’s accredited consultants henceforth.
