One of the wives of late Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade, Olori Odunola Sijuwade, has said she missed her late husband’s fashion sense.

She said she also missed the late monarch’s charisma, saying the monarch was pleasant to be with.

Also, former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, on Wednesday said the current internal crises rocking the party was caused by complacency of past years.

Olori Odunola and George spoke in Ile Ife, Osun State at a thanksgiving service held to mark one year anniversary of the demise of late Ooni of Ife, Oba Sijuade, held at St Paul Anglican Church, Ayegbaju.

Olori Odunola said: “I’m happy that Kabiyesi has lived a good life, and people still appreciate him. He has touched so many lives and people appreciate him for all that he did, especially  for Ile-Ife and the Yorubaland.”

The former PDP Deputy National Chairman, however, expressed confidence that the PDP crisis would very soon be
resolved with PDP coming out stronger in future elections.

According to him, the shock of loss of  power to the All progressives Congress, APC, is still affecting the party members.

He then urged Nigerians to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari so that his administration can perform well more than what we are expecting.

He maintained that President Mohammadu Buhari is faced with huge responsibilities and needs a lot of prayers for him to surpass leaders before him.

The roll call of those in attendance at the event included the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnemeka Achebe,  Deputy Governor of Osun state, Titi-Laoye Tomori, former governor
of Oyo State, Senator Alao Akala, Lt. Gen. Oladipo Diya, Ambassador Baju Bamgbetan, Titi Atiku Abubakar who represented former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Others were leader of Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebajo, Chief Alex Duduyemi and former Communication Minister, Chief Cornelius Adebayo.
