The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has postponed its Lagos State congress.
The congress, which was earlier scheduled for Wednesday, February 23, 2022, will now hold on Sunday, February 27, 2022.
This was made known in Abuja by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, who affirmed that the postponement followed the approval of the National Working Committee (NWC).
“All aspirants, critical stakeholders and members of the party in Lagos State are advised to take note,” the secretary reiterated.
The purpose of the state congress is to elect new state executives.
It would be recalled that the NWC of the party, in November last year, appointed Mr Julius Akinsola, as the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Lagos PDP.
The tenure of the Caretaker Committee was on February 19 extended by one month.
