The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kogi State chapter has said it is ready to recapture the state come November 16th governorship election.
The National Chairman of Party, Uche Secondus disclosed this while speaking at the flag of the governorship campaign rally at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium, Kogi State capital on Friday, said that the PDP was ready to take back the possession of Kogi State.
Secondus explained that the incoming PDP administration will move the people of the state out of the wilderness and current travails.
He called on the electorate to vote out APC candidate, Yahaya Bello, adding that the PDP has a marketable product in Wada/Aro as governor and deputy respectively.
Secondus also called on the people of Kogi West to vote en mass for Senator Dino Melaye to return to the red chamber of National Assembly.
He added that Dino Melaye is an international man and must not be allowed to go into oblivion, appealing that Senator Melaye must return.
The Chairman of PDP governor’s forum and Bayelsa State Governor, Seraidike Dickson who spoke on behalf of seven governors said the PDP called for peaceful election in Kogi State, stressing that election is not war.
Dickson stated that Kogi under the incoming PDP administration will emancipate the people of the state, adding that Wada will be salary paying governors and civil servants and pensioners will better off.
He noted that when PDP comes on Board, Wada will not sack his deputy, stating that PDP will form a government of Unity
