As part of social responsibility and giving back to society, a  philanthropist, Mr Bolufemi Rotimi has  donated cash  N100, 000  to two Orphanage homes with N50, 000 to MOM and Elizabeth Ohiani Orphanages in commemoration of his 50th Birthday celebration.

In addition to cash gift  the philanthropist  also donated foodstuffs such as 50kg bags of rice, noodles, ingredients, and also paid medical bills of all the children and preemies on admission at Paediatric and Maternity ward at Kogi Specialist Hospital.

Rotimi, who is also the Chairman and Founder of an NGO, RotShade Helplinks Foundation (RHF), said he had spent about N4 million to assist the less privileged to commemorate his 50th birthday.

While addressing the children, the philanthropist said giving to the poor and putting smiles on their faces has been part of his life, advising the fortunate citizens in the society to impact the lives of children for a better future.

He said that his own background as a child was very rough but God in his infinite mercies saw him through, adding that he would do more if given the opportunity.

Mrs Rofina Ejembi of Elizabeth Ohiani, and Mr Monday Halidu of MOM orphanages, both commended the philanthropist for the gesture, assuring him that the cash and the items would be used for the intending purposes.

Halidu, who received the items on behalf of MOM orphanage, thanked the NGO for coming to their aid, saying it would go a long way to alleviating the suffering of the children.

The  Head of Department, Medical and Social Services, Kogi Specialist Hospital, Mr Osheidu Moses who spoke on behalf of the CMD, commended for offsetting the children’s medical bills, saying it would serve as a relief to their parents.

The program for the 50th birthday of Rotimi, would continue in the church on Sunday, where the NGO, RotShade Helplinks Foundation, would be officially unveiled and inaugurated.
