Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) has completed the transformation of the Marina under-bridge.
The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday, September 15, tweeted that, “The outer Marina stretch of Lagos Island had been overrun and taken over by dirt, miscreants and hoodlums, which was not only defacing that axis but was also a major cause for security concerns and health hazards for residents who live, work and commute within Lagos Island.
“We, therefore, mandated The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps to do a complete overhaul of the stretch.
“LASPARK transformed it and gave it a new look which is not only aesthetically pleasing but also gives residents the health benefit that comes with fresh plants. LASPARK will continue to maintain and tend the stretch of space.
“Lagos state is our collective responsibility and we all need to play our parts in making sure it remains a place we’ll always be proud to call home.”
