Police Officer Returns Over N.2m Lost By Trader In Osun

    A police officer in Osun State, Inspector Sheu Saliu has returned over N200,000 lost by a female palm oil merchant, Mrs. Bolarinwa Iyalode.

    Iyalode was said to have lost the money while on a commercial motorcycle she boarded from Sekona to Akoda, Gbongan road.

    According to an eyewitness account, the palm oil trader discovered that she had lost her money when she got to Akoda.

    The eyewitness further said that after 30 minutes of making a frantic efforts searching for the lost money, the woman traced it back to Sekona.

    Iyalode was said to have raised the alarm of the missing money at Sekona, when Inspector Saliu, attached to the Police Response Unit, who found the money, handed it over to her at Oloki village along Gbongan road.

    The elated trader appreciated Inspector Saliu for his rare act of honestly, which, according to her, saved her from being grounded in her business.

    She also lauded Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s administration for prioritizing security in the state.

    Iyalode also commended the state Commissioner of Police for maintaining and instilling discipline in the police officers.
