Police Recovers Stolen Vehicles, Arrest Bandits in Ondo


The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a gang of armed robbers numbering six in Akure, the State capital over the stolen of a brand new Range Rover jeep,2007 model and one BMW jeep, 2005 model, both are unregistered vehicles.

The bandits, who were paraded at the police command on Wednesday, robbed the owner of the vehicles , Mr Napoleon lsaac, along Akure/llesha express road, sometimes in August.

Two of the gang members, Ezenwa Rapheal(m) and Chukwudi Oruma(m) were arrested in Lagos and Ogun States respectively while one of the vehicles stolen, a Range Rover jeep was recovered from them.

Meanwhile, speaking on the issue, the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Olugbenga Adeyanju, through the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Mr Femi Joseph Femi, said efforts are on, to arrest other fleeing members of the gang and to also recover the remaining vehicle.

He said further that the suspects will be arraigned in court at the conclusion of investigation.

He later used the opportunity to advice the general public to be security conscious in their dealings and that all robbery cases around them should be forwarded to the police around them for quick intervention.
