Police Smash Another Fraudster Shrine in Osogbo

Osun State Police Command on Tuesday smashed another Shrine used by fraudster to dupe unsuspecting members of the public at Gbaemu area, Osogbo, the state capital.
The dreaded 419 shrine discovered by Police detectives in the heart of the ancient town which has been the habitat of fraudster syndicate was destroyed while a suspect was arrested at the shine.
Fetish objects such as Sango effigy and costumes, White calabash, white clothes and many empty bottles of assorted hot drinks were recovered from the shrine which is located in a dilapidated building in the area.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Fimihan Adeoye said the shrine was being used for organised crime by the fraudsters.
CP Adeoye said police detectives are on the trail of other members of the gang that escaped arrest during the raid.
The police boss assured that other fraudsters that escaped would be apprehended. He warned Nigerians to always be wary of fraudsters.
The suspect which Police gave his name as Oyegbile Durojaye confessed that the shrine was set up to dupe people on the pretext of helping them overcome their problems.
The Commissioner of Police said that investigation on the activities of the men of the underworld was ongoing adding that they would soon be charged to court.
