Former President of Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria, Mallam Isa Funtua, who died on Monday night is to buried on Tuesday.
Family sources said Funtua, 80, died after suffering a heart attack. “After the attack, he recovered for a while and drove himself to a hospital where he died on arrival,” a family source said.
The burial may either take place in Abuja or his hometown of Funtua.
As an in-law to President Muhammadu Buhari, he was one of his confidantes.
Funtua was also Chairman of defunct Democrat Newspaper and Bullet Construction Company.
