The President of the Republic of Liberia, Dr. George Weah on Monday is to speak at the 12th Bola Tinubu Colloquium.
Also, President Muhammadu Buhari will chair the annual high-powered policy roundtable in Abuja.
Dr. Weah will speak on the tenuous nature of rebuilding a country after brutal civil wars with particular emphasis on the importance of national reconciliation, trust-building for the forging of national cohesion and unity as well as bringing a country back from the brink.
This year, The Bola Tinubu Colloquium will focus on Peacebuilding and National Cohesion as a tool for growth and prosperity in Nigeria. The theme – “Our Common Bond, Our Commonwealth:
The Imperative of National Cohesion for Growth and Prosperity” interrogates this issue in the light of contemporary incidents and commentaries in the public space with ethnic and religious dimensions.
The objective is to explore the implications of violent conflicts and innovative strategies for sustaining peace in a heterogeneous society with multi-ethnic groups, such as Nigeria.
To listen to Weah and other insightful speakers, please plan to attend the 12th Bola Tinubu Colloquium on Monday, 29th March 2021 from 12 noon.
